Day: 1 Arrive Gangtok

On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport, you will be met by our representative and driven to Gangtok (130 Kms / 4 Hrs).

The state of Sikkim lies in the shadow of the mighty Kanchenjunga and its capital, Gangtok, is a picturesque mountain clinging town with monasteries, parks, pagoda style houses and colourful bazaars.

Check in at your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day: 2 Gangtok

After breakfast, proceed on a half-day tour visiting, Rumtek Monastery (the Dharma Chakra Center): situated on a hill opposite Gangtok,

24 kms (45mins) and was built as a replica of the original Karmapa monastery in Tsurpu, Tibet; Droul Choten: an impressive stupa ringed by prayer wheels, Research Institute of Tibetology,

Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (closed on Sundays) and Flower Show. Afternoon is at leisure. Overnigt at hotel.

Day: 3 Gangtok-Tsomgo-Gangtok

After breakfast, depart on an excursion to Tsomgo (Tshangu) Lake: situated at a height of 3,780 meters with an average depth of about 50 feet.

This lake with cool and placid waters is in perfect harmony with the scenic beauty around.

A small temple of Lord Shiva is on the lakeside. (Shiva is known as Tshangu here and hence the name of the lake).

(Note: Excursion to Tshangu is subject to weather and obtaining a permit).

Return to Gangtok. Afternoon is at leisure for independent activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day: 4 Depart Gangtok

After breakfast, check out of the hotel.

Transfer to Bagdogra airport /New Jalpaiguri to depart for your onward destination. (Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri-Gangtok: 130 kms/04 hrs).
